prodded rag rugs and textile wallhangings in the UK.
Textile artist Lucy Mason formed Prodigal Rugs in 1999. Her work is created using the traditional hand-hooking and prodding methods of rag rug. Examples of her rugs and wall hangings can be found in art galleries near to her West Country studio and in private collections throughout the UK.
This web site provides pictures of her latest wallhangings, details of current and recent exhibitions, information on the origins and history of rag rugs, and an explanation of different rugging techniques.
